#2. Canceled plans for Sonya Deville's WWE in-ring return
Sonya Deville's work as a WWE on-screen authority figure has received a lot of praise, but several fans still wish to see her make a full-time return to the ring. Barring a recent handicap match, Deville has stayed away from the squared circle since losing to Mandy Rose at SummerSlam 2020.
Fightful Select reports that WWE had plans for Sonya Deville to return and compete in women's Money in the Bank match in July. The company reportedly even made graphics featuring Sonya Deville; however, the plans never saw the light of the day.

Fightful had no further information on the original ideas that were in place for Sonya Deville at Money in the Bank.
It was also reported that WWE's creative team made several pitches regarding Sonya Deville's in-ring return this year. Deville's feud with Naomi has also been well-received backstage, and it's only a matter of time until the former NXT star wrestles again.
#1. Dutch Mantell is not a fan of the "Happy Talk" segment on WWE SmackDown
Dutch Mantell revealed on this week's Smack Talk episode that Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss' angle from SmackDown was the worst segment he'd ever seen.
The former WWE manager couldn't find any positive takeaways from the segment as he felt even the jokes failed to hit the mark. Drew McIntyre's appearance also did nothing to help WWE's cause, as per Dutch Mantell:
"That's the worst in-ring segment I've ever seen. These jokes bombed; I didn't even know what he was talking about. It was just a bad, bad in-ring segment. Even Drew McIntyre coming out at the end couldn't save it. It is what it is, and it sucked."
Mantell believes that WWE might have lost a lot of viewers as the unimpressive segment aired at the worst possible time during SmackDown:
"The top of the hour is where you don't want to lose them [viewers] because that's when they are switching," added Dutch. "But I think when they saw Madcap and Corbin come out, they switched before the top of the hour." (H/t Prityush Haldar of Sportskeeda Wrestling)
