Welcome back to another edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's WWE News and Rumor Roundup, in which we bring you all the top stories making the rounds in the world of the pro wrestling juggernaut. In today's piece, we will look at topics related to Rhea Ripley and Randy Orton, among others.
Also, a former champion has confirmed retirement from in-ring action, citing health issues. Let's check it out without any further ado:
#4. WWE RAW preview
WWE is now on the Road to Survivor Series: WarGames, and things are heating up on the red brand ahead of the same. So far, only one match has been announced for tonight's show, as Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill will defend their Women's Tag Team Title against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

Also, we will get a segment between Damian Priest and Gunther ahead of their upcoming World Heavyweight Championship match. Bronson Reed is also slated to make an appearance. In addition to the announced matches and segments, we could also see the return of Drew McIntyre or CM Punk.
#3. Adam Pearce seemingly trolls Randy Orton
Adam Pearce suffered the wrath of Randy Orton at Crown Jewel as The Viper took out the RAW General Manager with an RKO. However, Orton had a night to forget on last week's SmackDown as he took a Piledriver from Kevin Owens and was stretchered out of the arena.
Later, Pearce seemingly took a shot at the 14-time World Champion as he posted a picture of him delivering a Piledriver during one of his past matches on X.
#2. WWE reportedly had huge plans for Rhea Ripley at Survivor Series
Rhea Ripley won't be featuring at Survivor Series as the former Women's World Champion suffered an injury following her brawl with Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez during an episode of NXT last month.
Mami has a fractured orbital bone and is slated to be on the sidelines for a while.
It was recently reported that WWE was planning a huge WarGames Match between team Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan. However, the plans have now been nixed, and we could instead see brand warfare inside the steel structure.
#1. Kurt Angle confirms in-ring retirement
Kurt Angle is widely regarded as one of the greatest in-ring talents of all time. However, the Olympic gold medalist's career was majorly altered by injuries.
While many have returned from serious health issues to don their wrestling boots again, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion recently confirmed that it was not an option for him.
"So, I'm going to be very busy with surgeries next year and a half. I don't think I'm going to be able to wrestle after that," Angle told Inside the Ropes.
Angle was last seen in action at WrestleMania 35, where he lost to Baron Corbin. While Kurt has ruled out an in-ring return, the WWE Hall of Famer has stated multiple times that he's open to a comeback in a non-wrestling role.
