So, without further ado, let's look at the biggest news and rumors that have dominated the WWE headlines over the last 24 hours.
#1. Roman Reigns return update
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Romane Reigns made a massive return at SummerSlam to cost Solo Sikoa his title match against Cody Rhodes. He single-handedly tormented Bloodline until Jacob Fatu returned and restored balance by attacking The Original Tribal Chief, following this assault, Reigns has not been seen on TV.
Next week, WWE SmackDown will move back to the USA Network, marking the end of their time on FOX. A promotional post from the channel featured Roman Reigns, hinting at his potential return to the blue brand on the show's season premiere next week.
#2. Cody Rhodes' next title defense confirmed
Cody Rhodes successfully defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens at Bash in Berlin, following which it was evident that Solo Sikoa would come looking for his title rematch. The new Tribal Chief confronted The American Nightmare, demanding the title shot. Their compelling segment ended with SmackDown General Manager booking a massive title bout for next week.
Cody Rhodes is now scheduled to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa in a Steel Cage Match on SmackDown's season premiere, which will be on the USA Network next Friday. As mentioned before, Roman Reigns is rumored to return on the same show, and he may cost Sikoa his title shot once again to reignite The Bloodline Civil War.
#3. WWE announced two huge matches for SmackDown next week
Besides the aforementioned title match, Nick Aldis confirmed two huge bouts for SmackDown next week. The next edition of the blue brand will see Andrade and Caramelo Hayes lock horns in their fifth match to determine the winner of their exciting feud. The one who emerges victorious in this match would be the next in line to challenge LA Knight for his United States Championship.
The other match announced for the show will see Kevin Owens in action. The former Universal Champion locked horns with A-Town Down Under last night, where he emerged victorious following a one-sided triple-threat bout. Owens is now set to take on Grayson Waller and Austin in a tag team match on SmackDown next week.
#4. Health update on Jimmy Uso amidst continuous absence from SmackDown
Jimmy Uso was Solo Sikoa's first victim after he took over as the new Tribal Chief of The Bloodline. He ordered a ruthless attack on Jimmy to punish him for losing to Jey Uso at WrestleMania and he hasn't appeared on SmackDown ever since. WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi recently shared an update on Jimmy, confirming that the former multi-time champion is doing fine. Rikishi also said that he hopes to see Jimmy back inside the ring soon, ending concerns over his potential injury.
"Jimmy's doing fine. I think at any given moment, hopefully, Jimmy will be ready to come back to be able to do what he loves. I'm sure he misses the fans, and I'm sure you all miss Jimmy. He's doing great. He's got some time to be able to rest the body, rest the mind, and he's ready to go, so, hopefully, we're able to see Jimmy soon," said Rikishi.
Fans have been eagerly anticipating Jimmy Uso's return on SmackDown, especially since The Bloodline members won the Tag Titles. He could also return to the blue brand next week and choose between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa in the ongoing Bloodline saga.
