Welcome to the October 28 edition of WWE News and Rumor Roundup. In today's article, we will cover exciting stories revolving around Becky Lynch and AJ Styles, among others.
Also, a legendary superstar has revealed that he's done with pro wrestling. So without further delay, let's get started.
#1 WWE RAW preview
The RAW roster will make one final stop in Pennsylvania before heading over to Saudi Arabia for the much-awaited Crown Jewel Premium Live Event. So far, four matches have been announced for the red show.
Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser will renew their rivalry as they face off in another singles match. Zelina Vega and Ivy Nile will collide after their confrontation last week. Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee of the LWO will take on the New Day and War Machine, with the winner earning a title shot against The Judgment Day.
Fans will see Dominik Mysterio in action, who is scheduled to take on a mystery opponent.
#2 WWE reportedly rejected a major pitch for AJ Styles
AJ Styles made a name for himself around the world before signing with WWE. The Phenomenal One was a major name for TNA Wrestling (fka Impact Wrestling) and won multiple titles during his time with the promotion.
It was recently reported that TNA wanted to induct the SmackDown star into their Hall of Fame. However, WWE was seemingly against the idea, with sources stating that the rejection was due to Styles' injury and/or involvement in active storylines. However, the exact reasons are still unknown.
#3 Legendary name is done with pro wrestling
Over the years, many legends and veterans have come out of retirement for one final run or match. However, Shawn Michaels won't take the same route.
While Shawn Michaels has also come out of retirement once, that won't be the case again as the legendary star confirmed that he is done with in-ring action and is satisfied with his behind-the-scenes role.
"I am. Yes, I am done [sic] myself in the ring. Absolutely. Yes, sir. I’m very comfortable being behind the scenes," the legend said. [H/T: Penn Live]
The Heartbreak Kid is the creative head of NXT. His last match came in 2018 when he came out of retirement after eight years to face the Brothers of Destruction alongside Triple H.
#4 Becky Lynch reacts to joining an elite list
Becky Lynch recently secured a spot in Sports Illustrated's Top 20 Greatest WWE Wrestlers of All Time. The Man responded to the same with a three-word message.
"In great company [emoji]," she wrote.
Lynch has stayed off the wrestling radar since her Steel Cage match against Liv Morgan in May 2024. She is no longer under a contract with WWE. However, The Man is expected to return to the global juggernaut once she decides to don her wrestling boots again.
