Fightful Select released a detailed report covering the events leading up to the releases of various WWE talent. Sources internally from WWE stressed that the reboots of Keith Lee and Karrion Kross weren't the ideas of the superstars.

Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.

There were people backstage who pushed for Scarlett Bordeaux to join Kross on the main roster. WWE also considered having her wrestle on RAW or SmackDown, but the plans got dropped after she was "sidelined."

Rumors of there being backstage heat on Kross started doing the rounds a few weeks back, and it was added that he still had supporters behind the scenes. WWE had reportedly planned on another character repackage for the former NXT Champion before his sudden exit.

Sources in the WWE have said that Karrion Kross' issues eventually came down to his booking and not the characters.

WWE also had 'tentative plans' to utilize Mia Yim on shows before the Draft, but they never saw the light of the day and ended up getting nixed.

Regarding Katrina Cortez's status, Fighful revealed that WWE never had anything significant in store for the former NXT superstar after she finished her brief angle with Sin Cara on the main roster.

It's just been a few days since WWE released 18 wrestlers, and more information on the releases should come your way soon. Stay tuned.

#1. Vince Russo comes down heavily on Vince McMahon's treatment of WWE Superstars

Vince Russo criticized Vince McMahon's treatment of WWE superstars during the latest episode of Writing with Russo.

The former WWE writer was against Vince McMahon's policy of forcing talent to deliver word-for-word scripts and believed that wrestlers need to be allowed to express themselves.

Russo reminded everyone that WWE superstars are independent contractors who have every right to demand creative freedom from the boss.

"Here's the mentality: 90 percent of that roster, maybe more, they're independent contractors, but yet they're putting their futures and their livelihood in the hands of Vincent Kennedy McMahon. No, that future and livelihood should be in your hands. You're an independent contractor…it should be in your hand. You're putting everything in their basket and in him [Vince McMahon]. 'Here's the promo; you're saying exactly this.' I know I can't curse, but it's a** backwards." (H/t Danny Hart of Sportskeeda Wrestling)
