#2. Nia Jax received WWE locker room support for standing up to Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair's reported backstage issues with Becky Lynch in WWE have resulted in more explosive details emerging from within the company.
In this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Nia Jax's confrontation with Charlotte Flair from RAW a few weeks ago was similar to the recent Becky Lynch situation.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax infamously got into an unscripted fight on RAW at the end of August, and the match still makes for an uncomfortable viewing experience on YouTube. Dave Meltzer reported that the female talent were unanimously behind Nia Jax for standing up to Charlotte Flair during the match.
Several members of the WWE roster were glad that Nia Jax didn't allow Charlotte Flair to bully her around after their match transformed into a shoot fight.
Meltzer reported the following:
"The reaction to that match among at least women talent in the locker room was to be solidly behind Jax for standing up to Flair and showing her she can't bully her around, even though Jax was the one who seemingly did the first unprofessional thing that took the match off the rails," said Meltzer.
It's safe to say that Charlotte Flair has a lot of backstage heat in the WWE, and amidst all the speculation about her status, The Queen also seemingly reacted to the rumors with a cheeky tweet.
#1. Vince McMahon's backstage reaction to Cruiserweight title match from WrestleMania 35
Tony Nese sat down with Chris Van Vliet for an insightful interview where the recently-signed AEW star spoke about the backstage reaction to his WrestleMania 35 match.
Tony Nese defeated Buddy Murphy on the Kickoff show for WrestleMania 35 in a 10-minute Cruiserweight Championship match. Nese revealed that Vince McMahon was really pleased with the title contest and even stated that it was the perfect way to begin a WrestleMania show.
The former 205 Live superstar recalled being treated with a lot of respect heading into WrestleMania 35, and he never felt like a 'sideshow' despite being on the pre-show card.
Here's what Tony Nese revealed about Vince McMahon's reaction to his WWE WrestleMania 35 match:
"Not necessarily. There were times where it would cross my mind. Well, it's the kick-off show, but it is what it is. To WWE's credit, they did very well in treating Murphy and me like we were on the main show as well," Nese said. "That whole week, I felt like I was a part of WWE and not on some sideshow. That was really cool. After the match, Vince was in Gorilla. He stood up and said, 'That's how you start WrestleMania.' I don't care what people say; that's cool."
Contrary to public opinion, Vince McMahon was a fan of the Cruiserweights, after all!
