Welcome to the latest edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's WWE News and Rumor Roundup, where we bring you the latest updates from the business. Today, some big stories are on display.
Plans for Cody Rhodes have been reported, while Randy Orton and Alexa Bliss are in the news. Elsewhere, WWE doesn't seem to have any plans to bring back an absent superstar. So, without further ado, let's get into today's roundup.
#1. Cody Rhodes could lose the Undisputed WWE Championship soon
Much has been speculated over the length of Cody Rhodes' reign as Undisputed WWE Champion. The American Nightmare will hope to keep his title until the end of 2025, but that might not be on the cards. According to WrestleVotes during a Live Q&A on Backstage Pass, a new Undisputed Champion will be crowned in 2025.

However, nothing specific was reported over when Rhodes will lose his title, or who will dethrone him. It remains to be seen what happens with The American Nightmare, with storylines against The Rock, Randy Orton, and potentially more expected in 2025.
#2. Alexa Bliss' travel struggles
Alexa Bliss has had her fair share of run-ins with airlines over the years. She hasn't shied away from posting about them on social media. The five-time Women's Champion did the same on Christmas Eve, following a long travel day as all American Airlines flights were grounded due to a technical glitch.
Taking to her official X/Twitter handle, Bliss mentioned her long travel day before praising the flight attendants on her journey:
As for her WWE status, Alexa Bliss has been rumored to return early in 2025. She could join The Wyatt Sicks, as has been hinted at.
#3. Randy Orton apologized to Mustafa Ali for injuring him
Mustafa Ali recently revealed a conversation he had with Randy Orton back in 2021, where The Viper apologized for injuring him two years earlier.
Orton had given Ali a swollen eye during a match in February 2019, ultimately causing a concussion. This forced him to miss the Elimination Chamber Match a few weeks later, with Kofi Kingston replacing him. The rest is history.
Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Mustafa Ali mentioned how apologetic Randy Orton was about the entire situation:
"He felt really bad about the concussion. Like, he obviously, he was apologetic at the time. But it's almost like, a year or two after it, like him and I were just talking. He's like, 'Hey man, I never meant to tell you but I really messed up things for you, man. You were here [raises hand].' I go, 'Randy, like stuff happens, bro. I know it wasn't intentional.' He goes, 'No, I just want to let you know, like it bugs me that I took that away from you.' I was like, 'You didn't. You didn't take anything away. It just happens.'" [56:48-57:14]
#4. The latest on Omos
Omos hasn't been seen in WWE in nearly a year. He seems to only show up for the Royal Rumble and various other battle royales. The Nigerian Giant last wrestled on April 5th, the night before WrestleMania XL.
Unfortunately, though, there seemingly aren't any plans at all for Omos to appear on WWE television. On a Fightful Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp stated that while he isn't injured and is still under contract, The Nigerian Giant isn't planned to return on RAW or SmackDown as of now:
"No news on him. He is still under WWE contract. I don't know why he's not on TV. He hasn't been used since around Mania, and had appeared in battle royales and Rumbles, and some live events. He occasionally does media."
It remains to be seen when Omos returns on RAW or SmackDown.
