What's the story?
Well, the WWE Universe was sent into a frenzy, when it was announced today, that Rusev will face The Undertaker in a Casket Match at WWE's Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia.
Now that the news has settled, Rusev has taken to social media to comment on the announcement - and he responded in the most "Rusev" way possible!
In case you didn't know...
The Greatest Royal Rumble is shaping up to be absolutely huge.
The event was already scheduled to feature a 50-man Royal Rumble, John Cena vs Triple H and a plethora of title matches, including Brock Lesnar taking on Roman Reigns, in a Universal Championship rematch inside a steel cage.
Seven Championship matches will take place with, The Usos vs Bludgeon Brothers for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships being confirmed, too.
The heart of the matter
WWE posted on Twitter the details of the match in recent hours, tagging Rusev in the tweet to announce the Casket Match.
Well, Rusev being Rusev, of course, he quoted the tweet and sent a message to the Undertaker...
What's next?
Well, Daniel Bryan had previously said this event could be bigger than WrestleMania. While 'The Grandest Stage of Them All' is never usually rivaled, we can see exactly why he said that!
The Greatest Royal Rumble will be broadcast live on WWE Network from the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday, April 27th.
Author's take
With Undertaker beating John Cena in less than three minutes at WrestleMania 34, it seems like Rusev doesn't really fancy his chances against 'The Deadman' in Taker's match of choice.
The 'Bulgarian Brute's "Rusev Day" message has swept the WWE Universe over several months, being an ever-present chant on WWE programming and Rusev's comedic tweets have been equally as popular.
I love Rusev, and I think he's a really hard man to dislike when he tweets out comedy gold like this. I can't wait for the match!
