During a recent interview with Yahoo Sports, WWE star Samoa Joe said that he is ready to take on ‘everyone’ and put the SmackDown Live roster on notice.

In case you didn't know...

Joe is arguably one of the biggest and most recognisable names in WWE today. After successful stints in ROH and TNA, ‘The Samoan Submission Machine’ finally joined WWE in 2015 and made a name for himself on NXT.

Top name doesn't want to enter the WWE Hall of Fame. More details HERE.

In 2017, he made his main roster debut during an episode of Raw and added a new dimension to his career. In just over a year, he has established himself as ‘The Destroyer’ and has given several top names—right from Seth Rollins to Brock Lesnar – a run for their money.

At the ‘Greatest Royal Rumble’ he took on Seth Rollins, Finn Balor and The Miz in a ladder match which saw ‘The Kingslayer’ retain his IC title in a spectacular manner.

The heart of the matter

While speaking to Yahoo Sports, Joe said that his shift from Raw to the blue brand as part of the 'superstar shakeup', can change the very face of the brand and added he is keen to fight everyone on the SmackDown Live roster right from Nakamura to AJ Styles.

You look at that locker room and you’d be hard pressed to find a match you wouldn’t want to see me in

Joe also spoke about being cheered during his matches with Roman Reigns and said that there is nothing unexpected about it.

What's next?

Joe is all set to take on the ‘Big Dog’ at the Backlash PPV this Sunday in what is bound to be an absolute slobberknocker. And, as expected, the match has created a great deal of buzz in the WWE Universe.

Author's take

Joe is certainly a gifted in ring performer and can bring out the best in his opponents.

However, some untimely injuries have hindered his progress in the WWE. Let us hope that his shift to SmackDown Live helps him reach his full potential and become ‘The Guy’.
