What’s the story?
Sasha Banks is undoubtedly one of the best in the WWE Women's division. However, she has now made a huge claim and said that she is better than half the men on the WWE roster.
In case you didn’t know…
Banks is set to take on Ronda Rousey at Royal Rumble for the RAW Women's Championship after she was hand-picked by the champion to be her next opponent. However, Nia Jax claimed that she was better than the 'Legit Boss' and Banks had to defeat her to prove that she was the worthy #1 contender.
The heart of the matter
Talking to The Express in an interview, Banks boasted that she was going to be the first WWE star to beat Rousey and that she will become the next RAW Women's champion.
“I’m the Legit Boss. There’s a reason why she called me out and it wasn’t the other way around. I’m not scared of Ronda Rousey, that’s the big difference between other opponents and me. I’m not scared. There’s a big reason why I’m not scared because I didn’t call her out.”
Banks continued to talk about her abilities and went on to say that she was better than half of the roster in the men's division.
“She’s not gonna beat me because I know that in my heart I am better than her. I’m better than every woman in this company, I’m better than almost half the guys in the company as well. I might even be the greatest superstar this company has ever seen. There’s a reason that she called me out and it’s not the other way around.”
What’s next?
Whether WWE are actually looking to push for the inter-gender matches once again or if this is just a way for Sasha to say how good she is, only time will tell.
