WWE News: Sasha Banks tries to steal Raw Women's Championship

What’s the story?

Alexa Bliss defeated Bayley in her hometown of San Jose, California to become the new Raw Women’s Champion. Sasha Banks has indicated on the recent episodes of Raw that she is no big fan of Little Miss Bliss and went a little too far at a recent live event, which was held in Rome, Italy.

After a victory over Alexa’s team in a 6 person tag match, Banks tried to snatch away the Women’s title but was held back by the referee and Bayley.

On the latest episode of Raw, a coronation ceremony was held in honour of the new Women’s Champion, Alexa Bliss. The former NXT standout took the opportunity to “personally thank” a few women, and she also proceeded to taunt Sasha Banks. You can check the video below.

The heart of the matter

In a recent Raw live event in Rome, which is part of the ongoing European tour, Sasha Banks teamed with Mickie James and Bayley to take on the team of Emma, Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss. Banks’ team won the match, but the victory wasn’t enough for her. The Boss tried to steal the Raw Women’s title as a mark of disrespect to the Goddess of WWE but to no avail. What’s next?

Bayley is yet to receive her rematch for the Raw Women’s Championship, and it is unclear at this moment whether she will receive it at an episode of Raw or the upcoming Extreme Rules PPV.

Sasha Banks is currently involved in all the Women’s Championship storylines as Bayley’s best friend who comes out in her defence whenever the need arises. According to several reports on the internet, Banks will soon turn heel on Bayley and face her for the Women’s Championship at Summerslam.
