What's the story?
Sasha Banks recently spoke to Sky Sports, and told them that she wants the WWE to introduce women's tag-team titles in order to generate more storylines for the women's division.
In case you didn't know...
The women of WWE have seen a number of firsts over the last couple of years. They've competed in their first ever Money in the Bank Ladder Match, first ever pay-per-view main event which was also first ever women's Hell in a Cell match, and now they're set to compete in their first ever Women's Royal Rumble match.

Despite this, and despite the women's rosters recently being expanded with six new WWE Superstars, the WWE has yet to bring back a form of female tag-team titles, which were last seen with the WWF Women's Tag-Team Championships last seen in 1989.
The heart of the matter
Banks argues her case for women's tag-team titles by indicating that it's hard for women to accomplish something if they're not fighting for anything, even if they are given storyline feuds.
"I would love that. I think we have enough women on the roster now to actually have a women's tag division. We've been given multiple storylines but at the same time, it's very hard to accomplish something if you're not actually fighting for anything.

Sasha Banks believes that a tag-team championship will open up a plethora of storylines for the women, and would make complete sense given that they already compete in tag-team matches quite often.
"Only one woman can go after the women's championship and I think if we had tag team championships we'd be able to create way more interesting storylines. We have tag matches all the time, every single week, so I say why not get a championship involved in that?"
What's next?
Banks goes on to add that if a tag-team division was introduced for the female wrestlers, her natural partner would be her best friend Bayley, as she's basically been in a tag-team with Bayley over the last few weeks anyway, battling Absolution.
Author's take
Call up Iconic Duo from NXT to RAW, and you've got them, Absolution, Team Rude (Alexa Bliss & Nia Jax) and Banks and Bayley. That's four great teams already, which is more than enough for a tag-team division on the show.
