What's the story?
Last night's RAW saw Sasha Banks gain a whole load of momentum ahead of her RAW Women's Championship match against Ronda Rousey at the Royal Rumble event with a win over the champion via submitting Natalya in a Tag Team Match.
However, some viewers were left bemused when apparent "technical problems" killed the feed and left them with a temporary black screen. Well, it's now been revealed that a wardrobe malfunction that saw Sasha Banks temporarily exposed led to a deliberate switch-off by WWE's production team.
In case you didn't know...
This week's WWE RAW took place in the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, and a monumental main event saw the team of Sasha Banks and Bayley take on RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey and Natalya in tag team action ahead of Banks and Rousey's clash at the Royal Rumble.
USA Network viewers were left bemused as the screen went black for a few seconds while Sasha Banks was battling with Natalya, but it was widely accepted that it was just a technical fault as the images came back almost instantly.
The heart of the matter
While USA Network viewers were left in the dark thanks to some quick reflexes from WWE's production team to spare Banks' blushes and keep the product PG, several viewers outside of North America saw the moment where it all went wrong - with Banks' trunks coming down to leave her exposed in front of the entire WWE Universe.
Ironically, Sasha Banks is married to Sarath Ton, who creates ring gear for most of WWE's Superstar. Both WWE's production team and Banks were quick to mask the error, with the black screen and The Boss immediately pulling her trunks back up.
You can see the malfunction in the clip linked below. Banks had something on under her tights, but it was very sheer material. WWE still made the decision to cut the video for a few seconds because they tape RAW live with a small delay.
While we will not be posting the malfunction itself, you can see what happened via H Jenkins of Ringside News here.
What's next?
Sasha Banks will take on Ronda Rousey for the WWE RAW Women's Championship at the Royal Rumble on January 27th.
