WWE News: Scott Dawson's tweet offends Road Dogg and Bubba Ray Dudley

The former NXT Champion deleted his tweet very soon after

Fresh off their show-stealing performance at NXT Takeover: Toronto this Saturday Night, where The Revival dropped their NXT Tag Team Championships to #DIY, former NXT tag team champion Scott Dawson was in complete heel mode, and posted the following tweet, during Smackdown Live:

This tweet was posted in keeping with The Revival’s heel persona

The match that was referenced in this tweet was the Tag Team Turmoil match from Smackdown Live this week, that featured American Alpha, The Usos, The Hype Bros, Breezango, The Vaudevillains and The Ascension.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

American Alpha would go on to eliminate The Usos and be next in line for a title match against the Beauty And the Man Beast, Heath Slater and Rhyno until they were interrupted and challenged by the Wyatts.

Dawson made the tweet to address fan rumours on whether The Revival would appear on the main roster, after their title loss, as is the tradition with NXT superstars. However, the heelish tone of the message was not appreciated by veterans like Road Dogg and Bubba Ray Dudley. This is what Road Dogg tweeted out:

Another veteran and tag team specialist Bubba Ray Dudley was just as offended as Brian James was, and tweeted this out:

‘Great job. You managed to insult the entire creative team and your FELLOW workers in one tweet. Complete disrespect...’- Bubba Ray Dudley (@Bullyray5150)

Possibly shocked by the comments of these industry veterans, Scott Dawson pulled his tweet down immediately, and also posted an apology.

Admittedly my last tweet was stupid. I've worked w/ all those teams & have the utmost respect for them. Stupid tweet to try to rile fans.

— Scott Dawson (@ScottDawsonWWE)

Road Dogg and Bubba Ray Dudley were both part of two of the most celebrated tag teams in history, the former in the New Age Outlaws, and the latter in The Dudley Boyz. Road Dogg is currently the producer of SmackDown Live, and also the head of the creative team.

On the other hand, Bubba Ray Dudley is back on the independent circuit after retiring from the ring as a member of The Dudley Boyz, a few months ago.

Road Dogg is the man behind Smackdown Live

Fans have been hoping for The Revival to debut eventually on Smackdown Live, a show they believe handles talent better than the red brand.
