Wrestling veteran Scott Steiner, who is known for his stints on WWE, TNA, and various other promotions, had some rather strong words for WWE and its management in a recent interview, and went so far as to slam the product – reports wrestlezone.com.
Steiner, who criticized WWE’s model, labelling it as the key cause of Rey Mysterio and CM Punk’s exits, is quoted as saying: “WWE offered me a legends deal. My lawyer looked at it, and it’s basically illegal. It’s not worth the paper that it’s written on. So f–k them. That’s why a lot of guys are leaving like Rey Mysterio and CM Punk. It’s a monopoly and the product suffers because of it. You have two dumbasses running it in Stephanie and her f**kin’ husband Triple H.”
Steiner didn’t stop his rant there, and also reserved criticism for WWE’s writing team, saying that they diminished the role of wrestlers.
The wrestler further elaborated, saying: "Oh f--k, without a doubt. Back in the day when Macho Man and guys did their own interviews and everything. Now it's a bunch of cookie cutters. Now you have 2-3 writers writing interviews for everyone. You have Brian Gewirtz, a little midget who probably never got any (expletive) in his life and he's trying to tell people how to be cool. Give me a f--king break”
Steiner, who currently wrestles on the independent circuit, is well known for getting into controversies, with this being one of many.
