What's the story?

Prior to this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw, WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins took it to his official Twitter handle and pointed out the fact that former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Hornswoggle was technically never eliminated from The Greatest Royal Rumble match last week in Saudi Arabia.

In case you didn’t know…

Hornswoggle made his WWE debut back in 2006 as an ally to Fit Finlay and throughout his WWE career, the 31-year-old superstar was part of some of the most memorable storylines in WWE history.11081258

In 2007, prior to being revealed as Vince McMahon’s illegitimate child, Hornswoggle also pulled-off one of the biggest upset wins in the history of Professional Wrestling when he pinned Jamie Noble to successfully win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

Hornswoggle eventually departed from the WWE in 2016, however, earlier this year, at WWE’s first-ever Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia, Hornswoggle made his return to the company during the first ever 50-man Royal Rumble match.

The heart of the matter

There is no surprise to the fact that Hornswoggle’s return to the WWE at The Greatest Royal Rumble event was certainly one of the most memorable moments of an eventful evening in Saudi Arabia last weekend.

As noted, Hornswoggle entered the 50-man Royal Rumble match at number 12, but apparently, it seems that the former member of D-Generation X was technically never eliminated from the Rumble match and apparently, Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins is one of the very few to have noticed it.

Rollins, earlier today, took to his Twitter handle and pointed out the fact that Hornswoggle was technically never eliminated from the Greatest Royal Rumble match and seemingly, ‘The Architect’ humorously also stated that he’d actually pay to witness a one-on-one match between Hornswoggle and Braun Strowman—who ended up winning the first ever 50-man Royal Rumble match.

What’s next?

Surely, WWE couldn’t possibly book a match between Hornswoggle and Braun Strowman, but if they do, then be sure to witness one of the craziest and hilarious wrestling matches of all time.

Author’s Take

In my opinion, I feel a match between Hornswoggle and Braun Strowman would be absolutely hilarious to watch and just maybe, we might get the chance to witness a potential match between the two. After all, we’ve previously witnessed Hornswoggle step up to The Great Khali.
