WWE News: Seth Rollins vs. Chris Jericho announced for Roadblock

Rollins certainly has some scores to settle with Jericho

In what is another blockbuster addition to the Raw-exclusive pay-per-view Roadblock, Seth Rollins will be facing off against Chris Jericho. This match was announced on tonight’s episode of Raw by Jericho’s ‘best friend’, Kevin Owens.

The WWE Universal Champion came out in a mood to make amends with Jericho, after having yelled at him on last week’s Raw. The opening segment of the show saw Owens cut Seth Rollins short, while he was speaking about how much the former depended on Y2J and claimed that he has a few gifts for his ‘friend’.

While the first one was a U.S. Championship match with Roman Reigns on that episode of Raw, that Jericho went on to lose, the second one was a singles match against Rollins at the Roadblock pay-per-view.

An additional gift would turn out to be a match between ‘The Architect’ and the Big Show, which backfired badly for K.O. as he received a chokeslam from Show for screaming at him and it was followed up by a pedigree from Seth.

The rivalry between Seth Rollins and Chris Jericho has been in the making, ever since the latter interfered in a Universal Championship match between ‘The Man’ and Kevin Owens. In the rematch at Hell in a Cell, Jericho and Owens double-teamed on Rollins, ensuring that ‘The Prizefighter’ managed to cling on to his title yet again.

The first ever Undisputed WWE champion got in the way for the third time, when Seth took on his ‘best friend’ for the title and suffered a pedigree on the concrete floor in return. However, the distraction allowed the WWE Universal Champion to capitalise, and he picked up the win.

Things reached a boiling point on last week’s Raw as a flustered Seth Rollins decided to teach Y2J a lesson for his actions and attacked him in the parking area, while he was trying to leave the arena.

Regardless of the storyline, which has been used to build up the match between Rollins and Jericho, it promises to be one hell of a fight as the two superstars from different generations collide.
