What's the story?
In this age of social media and spoilers, genuine surprises in WWE are truly few and far between. Triple H surprised one and all by showing up on RAW this week, and taking Jason Jordan's spot by Pedigree-ing him to the mat.

Of course, the team captain of SmackDown Live, Shane McMahon, did take notice and retaliated with a Tweet. He listed out the reason why he was confident.
In case you didn't know...
Survivor Series celebrates its 31st edition this year, and features two 5-on-5 elimination matches that have become synonymous with the pay-per-view over the years(for men and women).
Jason Jordan was supposed to be the fifth man in Team RAW's Survivor Series Team. However, he suffered an attack this week at the hands of the devious Bray Wyatt.
Triple H made a surprise appearance this week and announced himself as the fifth member of Team RAW. He pedigreed Jason Jordan shortly thereafter.
The heart of the matter
Shane McMahon is reiterating the fact that SmackDown Live is a well-oiled, close-knit unit, whereas RAW comprises of multiple egos. However, he did acknowledge that Triple H's addition has added star power to the red team.

This does make sense considering that the entire SmackDown Live Survivor Series team consists of babyfaces like Cena, Roode, Nakamura, Orton and of course Shane McMahon himself. The RAW team is full of babyfaces and heels, and will find it much tougher to co-exist in the kayfabe world.
What's next?
The go-home show of SmackDown Live before Survivor Series 2017 is upon us. Expect the unexpected. We're fairly certain that having held out for many weeks, RAW may decide to invade SmackDown Live, at last.
Author's take
All said and done, this is a stacked card. WWE is pulling out all the stops to make sure that fans are invested in Survivor Series 2017. This could either be leading to a match between Triple H and Kurt Angle or one with Shane McMahon at WrestleMania next year.
