What's the story?
SmackDown Live Superstar Bobby Roode has tweeted his reaction to Triple H adding himself to Team RAW for the Survivor Series' Men's 5-on-5 Elimination Match (at the expense of Jason Jordan).
Roode, who will be against HHH as part of Team SmackDown Live for this Sunday's PPV, is no stranger to The Game.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
In case you didn't know..
Triple H is in charge of NXT, i.e. WWE's developmental brand, and WWE's Chief Executive Officer signed Roode to NXT back in April 2016.
Roode, a former TNA wrestler, was a one-time NXT Champion during a very impressive time down in Orlando, Florida (where NXT is based).
The Glorious One eventually left Triple H's 'nest' and debuted on the main roster back in September on SmackDown Live, and won his WWE PPV debut against "The Showoff" Dolph Ziggler.
Last night on Monday Night RAW, Triple H returned to WWE's flagship show for the first time since before WrestleMania 33.
HHH announced that he was taking the spot of Jason Jordan in the Survivor Series RAW Team and then proceeded to Pedigree Jordan.
The heart of the matter
Bobby Roode's tweet seemed to hit the right notes, as it will be interesting to see HHH go up against someone he backed so much in NXT, as well as Nakamura, who was also a main eventer in NXT.
And Roode was correct when he said that although Triple H 'created something special', it was Roode who made himself 'Glorious'.
On Team RAW for Survivor Series is HHH, Kurt Angle (captain), Finn Balor, Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman, whilst on Team SmackDown, Roode will be joined by Shane McMahon (captain), John Cena, Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura.
What's next?
Triple H and Bobby Roode wil cross paths against one another for the first time this Sunday when Team RAW faces off against Team SmackDown Live in the Men's 5-on-5 Elimination match this Sunday at the Survivor Series PPV.
The location for the PPV is the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
Author's take
I can't wait for Team RAW vs. Team SmackDown in 5 days. Triple H's addition to the bout has made it so much more exciting.
Seeing Bobby Roode and Triple H go at it for the first time in this traditional Survivor Series match is going to be very exciting.
With the likes of HHH, Angle, Cena, Orton and Shane McMahon in the match, there is going to be star power, and with the likes of Nakamura, Roode, Joe, Balor and Strowman, there is going to be the chance for some rising stars to shine.
