First up, you can breathe a sigh of relief as The Icon ain’t hanging up his wrestling boots yet. Secondly, all of the suppressed hopes you had of the ultimate dream match coming to fruition may see the light of the day if the Stinger’s hints are any indication.
IGN interviewed Sting recently and posed questions regarding the rumors of his retirement, something that was first broken by TMZ. Sting addressed the rumors and claims that he still has an unfulfilled dream thriving inside him.
“That is one of those rumors floating around, yes. [laughs] TMZ put something out and, again, I still have a dream inside of me. And it’s not dead yet,” The Icon said.

An interview with Sting can’t go without the customary question on the dream match against the Undertaker, and Sting, in a trademarked straight-forward approach, revealed that it is still a dream of his to share the ring with the Phenom.
He said, “Uh, yeah. I’ve been very outspoken about that. Still a dream of mine.”
If Sting does have it in him for one last hurrah, the nostalgic match against the Deadman is a no-brainer. All of the health hazards aside, the match has record-breaking figures written all over it and would be a spectacle to behold.
When asked about his thoughts on his two WWE matches that ended in unfortunate losses, the Icon – contrary to public opinion – isn’t disappointed with the way the two bouts panned out.
"Just fantastic. Awesome. Incredible. It was WrestleMania and Triple H. And a lot of fans, if I understand what you're trying to say here, sort of feel 'Are you kind of disappointed that you lost two times?' No, I'm not. I look back and say 'Wow, great opponent in Triple H. Biggest stage and platform of them all.' You know, wrestling fans remember me wrestling there,” Sting said.
He added, “I don't think they're walking away thinking it sucked because I should have won. Maybe for a minute. But more so they'll remember that I was at WrestleMania. And then to have a world title match against Seth? Wow. I've been world champion many times, so it didn't bother me."
