WWE News: AJ Styles vs. James Ellsworth match to go as planned

AJ Styles will defend his title against James Ellsworth

As reported earlier, AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose were the latest entries to the injury line in the WWE.

It appeared that the condition of AJ Styles might have put his title match against Ellsworth in jeopardy, But that does not seem the case as Styles is all riled up to avenge his earlier losses against Ellsworth after he posted a tweet directed towards Ellsworth.

Here is the tweet:

This indicates that the injury that Styles suffered at TLC was minor than thought initially.

He suffered the injury after putting his body through several high octane spots in his match against Dean Ambrose for the WWE Championship. You can check out some glimpses of the match here:

The most talked-about incident at TLC was undoubtedly the sudden heel turn by Ellsworth who turned on his “friend” Ambrose to help Styles reclaim the gold.

He justified his actions after the event on Talking Smack. You can watch the video right here:

The status of Ambrose is not known as of yet and he most likely would not be a part of Smackdown Live! this week after he was carried to the backstage by trainers along with AJ Styles.

Smackdown Live! would be looking to emulate RAW in terms of getting ahead with their storylines post the TLC pay-per-view that saw two title changes. This means that all of Smackdown Live! championships are now in the hands of heels.

With a rumoured appearance from "The Deadman" and the unexpected title match, this week's edition of Smackdown Live! is sure to give RAW a run for their money.
