What’s the story?
WWE has officially announced the departures of a few Superstars form its roster, with one of the most noticeable among them being Summer Rae.
Apparently, Rae got wind about the news of her WWE exit being made public, and chose to subtly address the issue on social media:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
In case you didn’t know…
Summer Rae, whose real name is Danielle Moinet, performed for the WWE from 2011-17.
The 33-year-old has been inactive since her appearance at Wrestlemania 32 last year, owing to injury issues. Also a model by profession, she was indeed busy furthering her career in show-business whilst rehabilitating her injuries.
The heart of the matter
The professional wrestling community was taken aback by news of Summer Rae’s release from the WWE, following which the now-former WWE Superstar was probed about it on social media.
Given her large following on the internet, Rae responded to questions regarding the aforementioned news with an Instagram post—the excerpt of which has been posted below:
"Never trippin' off the past, I would rather never mind 'em. Cuz only fools trip over somethin' that be behind them. @quby @miss_madrid”
Furthermore, Rae posted the very same message for fans to see on her official Twitter account as well; alluding that she refuses to be perturbed over something that’s now in the past.
What’s next?
Summer Rae presently plans on focusing on her career in the world of acting & modelling; besides having a background in the LFL (Legends Football League). Hollywood seems to be atop her to-do list now that she’s free from her WWE obligations.
Author’s take:
Well, as of this time, it’s unknown whether or not Summer Rae plans to continue in the sport or bid adieu to the wrestling business altogether.
All questions regarding the former WWE Superstar’s future in the professional wrestling industry will be answered in the days to come. Here's hoping we get to see more of this charming star inside the squared circle.
