What's the story?
With Survivor Series 2018 weekend in the past, the WWE has already announced plans for next year's pay-per-view weekend.
Per the Chicago Tribune, the company will bring Survivor Series weekend to the Allstate Arena in Chicago Suburb, Rosemont, IL.
In case you didn't know...
Next year's Survivor Series pay-per-view will mark 30 years since the company hosted the event at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

The 1989 edition of the show was the third Survivor Series pay-per-view in WWE history and was headlined by the 4-on-4 elimination tag team match between The Ultimate Warriors (Ultimate Warrior, Jim Neidhart and The Rockers) and The Heenan Family (Bobby Heenan, Andre the Giant, Haku and Arn Anderson).
The heart of the matter
WWE bringing Survivor Series to the Allstate Arena means that NXT Takeover, Monday Night Raw and SmackDown will also broadcast from the Chicago arena a week before Thanksgiving.
Chicago, IL is usually home to pay-per-views of less importance like Backlash or Extreme Rules, but this will be the first time the venue has hosted one of the Big 4 pay-per-views since WrestleMania 22 in 2006 - the last time WWE held the event in a smaller arena.
Despite the city rarely hosting major pay-per-views, the company has been hosting NXT Takeover specials in conjunction with whatever pay-per-view emanates from Chicago.
The company hosted the Money in the Bank pay-per-view this summer which saw Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman win the Money in the Bank briefcases.
What's next?
Survivors Series has begun to garner a reputation amongst fans for being one of the company's best shows and hopefully it will remain as interesting as it's been the past few years.
There has been some concern amongst fans that the brand split could end when SmackDown goes to FOX next year, but that is pure speculation.
