What's the story?
Wrestling Inc. is reporting on a recent episode of Edge & Christian's Pod of Awesomeness where The Bar (Sheamus & Cesaro) were guests. They brought up the moment on Monday Night Raw in 2016 that put these two WWE Superstars on the same page finally, the bar fight.
In case you didn't know...
The history of the current WWE Raw Tag Team Championships goes back to 2002 and the first brand split when Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit won the title for the SmackDown Brand. Cesaro holds the current record for most reigns at five, four with Sheamus and one with Tyson Kidd.

As a team, The Bar holds the record as well with four reigns. They surpassed MNM (John Morrison and Joey Mercury) and Nexus/Corre (Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater) who had three reigns.
The heart of the matter
In the fall of 2016, then Monday Night Raw General Manager Mick Foley had forced Cesaro and Sheamus to become a tag team after their best-of-7 series ended with a no contest in the seventh and final match.
Sheamus and Cesaro decided to visit a pub to try to get on the same page, and as you can see in the video below, it finally worked.
Sheamus mentioned that Cesaro didn't want to drink the Guinness, and even Sheamus himself didn't want to as it looked like the beer had been out for two weeks. He would expand on the scene even further...
"We were sitting there so long I actually started drinking and it was absolutely disgusting. But at the end of it, there's a part where, like, we both do the 'cheers' and we drink the Guinness and Tony [Antonio Cesaro], Tony's looking at it, like, I don't know, like it's a pint of puke. So if you look closely at it, he doesn't even want to touch the stuff. So I was hoping Tony would get on the Guinness train, but no."
In all actuality, Cesaro does not drink and he admitted the scene ended a little awkwardly.
What's next?
The Bar found out they will have to face the "Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman and a partner of his choosing for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania on April 8th. While Braun hasn't announced his partner yet, many hope it will be Samoa Joe; while some are predicting it will be Elias.
Author's take
Though the scene ended awkwardly, I really enjoyed it. I was hoping this would bring them together as a team because I saw some great things they could do, and well the rest is history. They are arguably the best tag team in the WWE over the past year with a total of four WWE Raw Tag Team Championship reigns.
