Cesaro looked on course to defeat The Miz in a dark match after WWE finished taping SmackDown and 205 Live in Indianapolis, Indiana on Friday, October 18.
However, after “The Swiss Cyborg” swung his opponent around 20+ times with a Cesaro Swing and attempted to hit his Neutralizer finisher, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt appeared and began to attack the former United States Champion.
As you can see from the video, the referee quickly called off the match and watched on from ringside as Wyatt’s alter-ego locked in the Mandible Claw on Cesaro before the lights went out again.

Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt rematch
One of the most controversial finishes to a WWE pay-per-view in recent memory took place at Hell in a Cell on October 6 when Seth Rollins used a sledgehammer on “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, prompting the referee to end the match without a clear winner.
To avoid a repeat of that unpopular outcome, WWE has confirmed that the Universal Championship Falls Count Anywhere rematch between the two men at Crown Jewel on October 31 “cannot be stopped for any reason”.
The October 14 episode of RAW ended with Rollins burning down Wyatt’s ‘Firefly Fun House’, but neither Superstar appeared on SmackDown four days later.
Cesaro’s next WWE opponent
Much of the build-up to Crown Jewel has focused on Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman vs. Tyson Fury and Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez, but it has also been announced that Cesaro will be in one-on-one action against Saudi Arabia’s own Mansoor.
The NXT Superstar earned a huge ovation from his home fans when he outlasted 50 other Superstars to win a Battle Royal at WWE’s last Saudi event, Super ShowDown, in June, so we can expect Cesaro to be treated as one of the biggest heels of the night at Crown Jewel.
