What’s the story?

Interferences by the tag partner in tag-team matches are a common thing right now. While rules suggest that only the legal men can be on the ring and the others have to be on the apron all the time, nobody has really been following these rules to the T.

When a fan seemed to be raising questions about the same, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson, i.e., The Revival took the opportunity to lay out a few pointers.

In case you didn’t know…

Braun Strowman and Kurt Angle teamed to face Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin on Monday Night Raw and the match ended after The Monster Among Men hit the former GM-elect despite not being the legal man. The referee called for the bell and handed the win to McIntyre and Corbin on the basis of disqualification.

The heart of the matter

Dash Wilder of The Revival was discussing the tag-team rules on Twitter when the question of the DQ came up. He tweeted that there was no new rule that each team can break the pin just once in the match and that nobody has ever followed the rules properly.

When a fan questioned if the ‘new rule’ of not allowing the illegal man to hit an opponent was right, Wilder mocked the referees and said that it has always been the rule. He tweeted that the only time an illegal tag-partner can hit a legal opponent is 5-seconds after the tag is made or to save a pin or submission.

Adding to it, Wilder's partner Scott Dawson went on a ‘tag-team rules for dummies’ mode and said:

Scott Dawson chipped in and added:

What’s next?

The Revival are set to face Chad Gable and Bobby Roode at Elimination Chamber for the RAW Tag Team titles. Reports of them asking for a release are never going to go away after they said that the rumours were “true” and that they will be leaving WWE as the RAW tag champions.
