O'Neil is regarded as one of the veterans in the WWE locker room today, but is equally renowned for his philanthropy - more recently paying for more than 2,000 underprivileged kids to go to the cinema and see Marvel's Black Panther.
The heart of the matter
Titus O'Neil hit the headlines recently for his slip in Saudi Arabia that sent the wrestling world into a frenzy, with memes being made across the globe and the podcasting world talking all about the stumble.
Today, though, the leader of Titus Worldwide took to Twitter to show that his body conditioning is no laughing matter, and reveal a huge new venture!
Well, Titus' good friend Batista has recently hit dizzy heights as Drax, one of the Guardians of the Galaxy, and it looks like Titus is slimming down and toning up to join his former WWE colleague in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Titus tweeted that he's cutting weight and losing another 14 pounds to become a "Marvel character", tagging the company and the Drax actor in the tweet, and Batista even replied to commend O'Neil for his hard work.
What makes this even more awesome is, speaking about taking 2,000 kids to see Black Panther, in an interview with WFLA News Channel 8 in Tampa, the former Tag Team Champion said:
I never saw a superhero that looked like me on television growing up, so for Marvel to do this for the first time it’s ever been done, where it’s actually an all-minority cast, it’s a historic event.
While Titus is a hero to many already, it's cool to think that he may soon be portraying one in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
What’s next?
Titus O’Neil is currently a part of the RAW brand, appearing alongside Apollo Crews and Dana Brooke as part of Titus Worldwide, but it looks like the former Tag Team Champion may be taking time off from WWE soon for filming.
There's no word yet, though, as to which character the former Prime Time Player will portray, or even which movie he will appear in.
Author’s take
Well, from his charity work to his self-deprecating sense of humor, it's impossible to dislike Titus O'Neil. He isn't just a true pro, but he seems like an incredible human being too, and this is awesome to see.
We wish him all the best, and I can't wait to see him on the big screen!
