It’s no surprise that TNA has been dealing with financial issues for a long time. Due to payment issues, they had to shift their headquarters to a warehouse, earlier this year. Even the management are seeking the help of potential investors to help TNA stay alive. Some of the investors are also demanding creative control!
It was reported that several wrestlers had decided to leave the company due to such payment issues. David Herror, a wrestling agent who has been closely associated with Total Nonstop Action recently reported that Booby Roode and Eric Young owed money from the company when they left. Roode and Eric Young are now a part of WWE NXT. While Roode is yet to make his WWE debut, Young had had his debut match against the NXT Champion, another former TNA wrestler, Samoa Joe.
It is to be noted, allwrestlingnews.com has reported that despite being in debt, TNA had cleared the payments of the two former TNA World Champions when they decided to leave the company and doesn’t owe them any amount of money. Actually, they owed them the payments when they were still active members of the TNA roster.
Due to these financial troubles, TNA President Dixie Carter may have to give up majority control over the company only to help TNA stay as a wrestling promotion.
