WWE News: Top WWE Superstar injured and removed from live events

From leader to pawn

Not a week has elapsed since Vince McMahon said, brimming with contentment, that John Cena, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton would return to the WWE in June and we already hear reports that another main-eventer is infected with the injury virus.

Number one contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship AJ Styles is reportedly dogged by injuries which have forced him out of three live events – Greenville, South Carolina on Friday, Raleigh, North Carolina on Saturday and Columbia, South Carolina on Sunday.

The nature or number haven’t been specified, but the Phenomenal One has carried these niggles for a while and the WWE doesn't want the main event of the Extreme Rules PPV jeopardized.

Styles was kept off SmackDown this week for the same reason. The feud between him and Roman Reigns is deepening, with the involvement of the Usos and the official formation of The Club.

The storyline has a ton of promise, what with the polarity between Styles and Anderson and Gallows and Finn Balor’s lineage with them expected to be woven into his unctuously hyped main roster debut. The rivalry between Styles and Reigns is rumored to last until WWE Money In The Bank.
