At the recent Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio, hosted from 3rd March to 6th March, several matches involving NXT superstars, Q&A session with Triple H, Braun Strowman and even Arnold Schwarzenegger were arranged. It was reported by Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that another former WWE Champion was there at the event.

It was Kurt Angle. The Olympic gold medalist was to be inducted at the International Sports Hall of Fame, unrelated to the event. They also stated that Triple H and Angle met at the event but no more details were provided.

It started speculation among the fans all over the social media that it may result in a possible WWE return or a Hall of Fame induction for Kurt in the near future. Kurt left WWE in 2006 and joined TNA, where he is a former World Champion as well. His contract with TNA expired recently and he left them after a farewell tour.

The latest report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter had a correction. It has been now confirmed by the Observer and wrestlinginc.com that Kurt Angle and Triple H though present at the event, did not meet or talk at all and were present for different reasons.
