WWE News: Truth behind The Miz-Daniel Bryan promo on Talking Smack revealed

The Miz’s comments forced Daniel to leave the room.

Talking Smack has gradually become one of the must-see shows on the WWE Network. Airing right after SmackDown Live, the show, hosted by Renee Young, dissects the events that happened earlier in the evening and also features reactions from SmackDown general manager Daniel Bryan.

Arguably, Talking Smack aired one of its best segments when the current Intercontinental Champion, The Miz, cut a vicious promo on Daniel Bryan. Multiple sites have reported that the Miz/Daniel Bryan segment from Talking Smack was "part shoot". Wrestling Observer says both guys knew where they were going with their promos, but let reality slip in a bit.

Miz snapped when Daniel Bryan told him that he wrestled like a coward. Miz looked shocked by the comment and then went on to cut perhaps the best promo of his WWE career.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Miz said, “Let me tell you about a coward. Let me tell you about a guy who tells his WWE fans, people that he loves that he will be back - he promises them – ‘I promise you, I will be back in one year’s time to claim this title.’ But you didn’t, Daniel, did you? But I’m the coward. I’m the one who doesn’t love the fans.”

Daniel replied by saying that he would definitely return to in-ring action if the WWE officials allowed it. But then Miz retaliated by saying, “Oh you would? You love that WWE ring, you love wrestling. You love being right in that wrestling ring and you love wrestling, right? Well, why don’t you quit? Why don’t you quit and go to the bingo halls with your indie friends, Daniel?”

Renee tried to intervene and asked Miz to calm down, but he went on continuing the rare rant to the extent that Daniel finally left the room. The Miz’s wife, Maryse, was present during the entire segment but remained silent throughout.

The internet wrestling community went wild after this segment, speculating whether this was a work or did the Miz actually vent out his actual feelings at the expense of Daniel Bryan.

The most interesting aspect of the promo was the possibility of a Daniel Bryan return. Could it really be? Could Daniel choose to respond to Miz’s comments by lacing his boots and stepping into the ring one more time?

Whichever angle WWE chooses to follow after this, it is certain that the segment made people sit up and take notice of the Miz. It has definitely elevated him to the upper echelon consisting of the good talkers in the WWE. It looks like the blue brand is nailing it with their product and going toe-to-toe with their RAW counterparts, even outperforming them on certain occasions.
