The heart of the matter
This week on Raw, Kevin Owens and Bobby Roode won their respective qualifying matches to book a spot in the Men's MITB Ladder match, while on SmackDown, New Day defeated The Bar for a spot for one of their members.
For the last spot, a huge match between Big Cass and Samoa Joe has been announced for next week.
In addition to this, a qualifying match for women has also been announced between Billie Kay of the IIconics and Lana.
While all the spots in the Men's MITB match will be filled next week, there will be three more spots left in the Women's match, even after one place is filled by either Kay or Lana.
What's next?
Money in the Bank PPV is set to take place on June 17th, at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. The PPV will see two MITB Ladder matches, in addition to three other matches.
Author's take
After witnessing the beatdown of Cass at the hands of Daniel Bryan this week, it really does look like the speculations of backstage heat on Cass might have a bit of truth in them. Hopefully the match next week won't be one-sided. Personally, though, I'm rooting for Joe!
