What’s the story?
Former WWE Women’s champion Victoria has revealed on her official social media page that it was TNA/Impact Wrestling, and not WWE that forgot to renew her contract.
The former 5-time TNA Knockout champion exposed an impostor on the internet, who had recently tried to stir up controversy by posing as her and attempting to misguide fans.
In case you didn’t know...
Victoria whose real name is Lisa Marie Varon is best known for her time with WWE from 2000-2009. The 46-year old also performed for TNA/Impact Wrestling from 2009-13, besides a stint in ROH (Ring Of Honor).
The heart of the matter
A recent post made by the impostor account claimed that WWE forgot to renew Victoria’s contract during her time with the promotion.
Nevertheless, the veteran professional wrestling star shot down the false claims and clarified that it was TNA (now re-branded as Impact Wrestling) that was the company which had, in fact, forgotten to renew her contract.
Furthermore, Victoria also reiterated the status of her online presence confirming the accounts that legitimately belong to her.
What’s next?
Victoria presently performs on the independent circuit.
No plans of her potential return to WWE or Impact Wrestling have been revealed as of yet.
Author’s Take
It goes without saying that Victoria is one of the most iconic professional women’s wrestlers of all time. She was one of the most athletic competitors in WWE and put on several great performances in Impact Wrestling as well.
As a huge fan of the Vicious Vixen, I hope the authorities find the internet impostor and bring the troublemaker to justice. Don’t mess with Victoria!
