The 30th edition of the Survivor Series just went by, and it was Team SmackDown who managed to have the last laugh, by winning the 5-on-5 men’s elimination match, between the two brands, even as Raw claimed a victory in the women’s match as well as the tag-team match.
During the opening stages of the match, Dean Ambrose was fighting his former Shield teammate, Seth Rollins in the ring, when Chris Jericho tagged himself in. As he entered the ring, Y2J started yelling at Ambrose about the $15,000 that the latter owed him.
For those wondering what Jericho was talking about, the answer lies in the rivalry between him and ‘The Lunatic Fringe’ earlier this year. During that period, Ambrose had destroyed the expensive light-up jacket, which he frequently used while making his entrance and apparently was worth $15,000.

Coming face-to-face against the former WWE World Champion perhaps reminded Jericho about the incident.
However, it was not a night to remember for Jericho and his ‘best friend’, WWE Universal champion Kevin Owens, at Survivor Series as they were both eliminated in quick succession, thereby leaving Team Raw in jeopardy.
AJ Styles of the SmackDown team was about to hit the first ever Undisputed WWF Champion with the Styles Clash when Owens decided to make the save by hitting the former with ‘the List of Jericho’. Unfortunately for K.O., though, the referee disqualified him, and he was eliminated from the match.
In an attempt to make the job easy for his ‘best friend’, he hit Styles with the pop-up powerbomb, before leaving. However, Chris Jericho failed to capitalise on the situation, as he was busy putting his list back together in the middle of the ring.
The WWE World Champion took advantage of this and rolled towards his team in the corner, allowing Randy Orton to tag himself in. Before Y2J could realise that Orton was in the ring, ‘The Viper’ hit him with an RKO, and he was eliminated by pinfall.
This left just Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins on Team Raw, whereas SmackDown still had Styles, Orton, Bray Wyatt and Shane McMahon at their disposal. The duo managed to put up a great fight but eventually succumbed to the numbers game as the blue brand grabbed the victory.
