What’s the story?
WrestleMania 33 was the most-watched event and a major financial success for the WWE according to multiple sources. As per Forbes, the live stadium show made a Camping World Stadium record of $14.5 Million in revenue. According to ESPN, WrestleMania 33 was watched by a record-setting 1.95 million people on the WWE Network alone.

WrestleMania 33 was one of the most star-studded editions of the WWE’s biggest annual show. It was headlined by The Undertaker and Roman Reigns, a match that would turn out to be the Deadman’s farewell performance.

Some of the other star attractions at the event were a mixed-gender tag team match that saw John Cena and Nikki Bella defeat the Miz and Maryse, Brock Lesnar beating Goldberg for the WWE Universal Championship, Triple H vs. Seth Rollins as well as a musical performance by American singers Pitbull, Flo Rida and others.
The heart of the matter
The WWE announced the very next day after WrestleMania 33 that the WWE Network set a new record for total subscribers (1.95 million) and stated that the combined total of 22.5 million hours of content watched during WrestleMania week was up four percent from 2016.

What’s next?
The WWE is currently implementing a Superstar Shake-Up to provide an impetus to potential storylines and feuds on its Raw and SmackDown brands. The Superstar Shake-Up commences on the April 10th episode of Monday Night Raw. The next edition of WrestleMania will take place at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 8th, 2018.

WrestleMania 33 was an amazing event with a few excellent matches, intriguing stories and was capped off by an emotional farewell courtesy The Deadman. Now although the numbers collected by various sources may not be a hundred percent accurate, to say that the stats are impressive would be a severe understatement.
The WWE put on a grand show this year and are now reaping the benefits of their hard work. Big time comeback for the company after last year’s dud that was WrestleMania 32. Well Stephanie really means it when she says- We Always Do What’s Best For Business
