What's the story?
Fastlane will take place in about two weeks on March 10, 2019, starting at 7 PM on the WWE Network (with the kickoff show starting at 6 PM on a variety of platforms, including the WWE Network and WWE's Youtube Channel). This is the last pay-per-view before WrestleMania and can really affect the road to WrestleMania. One of the big matches of this show is Daniel Bryan vs Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship.
In case you didn't know...
Kofi Kingston recently took Mustafa Ali's place in the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship. He would then have a historic performance on SmackDown Live in a Gauntlet match, where he lasted for about an hour. During that Gauntlet match, he defeated WWE Champion Daniel Bryan, Jeff Hardy, and Samoa Joe, before falling to AJ Styles.

At Elimination Chamber, Kofi Kingston was one of the final 2 competitors left inside the Elimination Chamber before he fell to Daniel Bryan. However, he had another great performance that captured the hearts of the WWE Universe.
Kofi Kingston was then able to successfully beat Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, and Samoa Joe in a six-man tag team match alongside AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy. As a result of that big victory, Shane McMahon announced that Kofi Kingston would challenge Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at Fastlane.
The heart of the matter
The WWE Championship match between Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston will be made official on this week's episode of SmackDown Live. There will be a contract signing on SmackDown Live between the champion Daniel Bryan and challenger Kofi Kingston.
What's next?
It is very much likely that this match ends up being the main event of Fastlane. This match is one of the most important matches in all of Kofi Kingston's career, making this contract signing extremely important. This contract signing will almost certainly get physical (few contract signings are ever peaceful) and can lead to a tag team match involving The New Day and Daniel Bryan & Rowan.
