New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
It was on the most recent episode of Monday Night RAW, that Roman Reigns cut a scathing promo against Lesnar, who no-showed the scheduled, pre-WrestleMania face-off between them.
The heart of the matter
One ought to note that Roman Reigns proceeded to confront Vince McMahon backstage, and the duo had a meeting in Mr. McMahon’s office; following which, the WWE head honcho revealed that he has temporarily suspended Reigns for his actions on RAW.
Furthermore, Mr. McMahon also gave the WWE Universe his word that Brock Lesnar will be on the upcoming episode of RAW. The WWE has now sent out a statement ahead of the Beast Incarnate’s next RAW appearance--the excerpts of which have been noted below—
“Per Mr. McMahon, Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will finally appear on Monday Night Raw, three weeks before he defends his title against the recently suspended Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. Now that The Chairman has punished The Big Dog for his inflammatory criticism of The Beast Incarnate and Mr. McMahon himself, it remains to be seen just how Reigns will react to Lesnar's appearance on Raw — or if he will even be reinstated before Monday night.”
What’s next?
The next episode of Monday Night RAW airs from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on March 19th—with the said episode featuring Brock Lesnar who’ll appear on the show.
Meanwhile, experts believe that the WWE is likely to reinstate Roman Reigns very soon, so as to have him engage in a face-off with Brock Lesnar on the aforementioned edition of RAW. Lesnar defends his WWE Universal Championship against Reigns at WrestleMania 34 which takes place on April 8th.
Author’s take
Honestly speaking, the WWE seems to have hit the bulls-eye with the Roman Reigns-Brock Lesnar rivalry.
Fan-interest in 'The Big Dog' going up against 'The Beast Incarnate' is at an all-time high and, seems to be much more amplified than it was during their WrestleMania 31 feud.
Reigns’ promo work thus far has been excellent, and should he continue at this pace, he’d surely become one of the biggest names in sports-entertainment history after beating Brock Lesnar.
