It seems that Bubba Ray Dudley is one of these stars, despite the fact that he currently works for Ring of Honor.
In case you didn't know...

Whilst D-Von Dudley remains an employee of WWE as a backstage star it seems that his "brother" has branched out and is currently working on Ring of Honor. The Dudley Boys were last seen together on WWE TV back in 2016 when they were beaten down by Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson on the episode of Raw the night after SummerSlam, D-Von has since announced his retirement from in-ring competition whilst Bubba has teased it a number of times as well.
The heart of the matter
Bubba Ray is currently considered to be a Ring of Honor superstar and it was thought that there would be some kind of conflict with him appearing on Monday Night Raw but it seems that according to a report from PWInsider, this actually isn't the case.
Ring of Honor is actually looking at this appearance as something that could give them much more exposure and so the company are looking at it from a positive perspective rather than a conflicting one.
It is unlikely that the duo will be wrestling on the show, but it will be interesting to see what kind of a role they play alongside some of the biggest legends in WWE history.
What's next?
Raw will stream live on January 22nd as the company celebrates their 25th anniversary along with some of the biggest legends of the past 25 years. This is the go-home episode of Monday Night Raw before The Royal Rumble and could potentially hint at which legends will be included in the 31st annual event.
Authors take
Bubba Ray Dudley is someone who will always be associated with WWE regardless of who he goes on to work for. Ring of Honor is seemingly making the right decision by seeing this as a promotional tool, rather than stopping Bubba from being part of a historic show.
