Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger as the Real Americans

It has become a tradition in WWE for the past few years for some wrestlers or employees of the company to be released from their contracts during the spring season. WWE Universe has christened this action the ‘Spring Cleaning’. This year, on the last week of April, almost eight people were released from WWE.

As per reports from wrestlinginc.com, the list includes former tag team Champion Damien Sandow, Alex Riley, Hornswoggle, El Torito, Cameron, Brooklyn Brawler, former United States Champion Santino Marella and Zeb Colter. Also, former 5-time Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett asked for his release from the company which was granted.

Recently, Zeb Colter thanked his fans on Twitter after his release from WWE and tweeted the following :

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Colter was a part of WWE from 1994 tol 1997. He made his WWE return on February 2013, aligning himself with then top contender Jack Swagger to form the Real Americans. After a few months, they were joined by Cesaro.

After being written off for 11 months, he made his return on October 2015, during the Hell in a Cell event alongside Alberto Del Rio. Their new MexAmerica storyline failed to impress the fans and December 7th marked his last appearance in WWE. Colter will be appearing for Global Force Wrestling soon.
