WWE Night of Champions: Final match card and predictions

United States Championship Match

Dolph Ziggler

Looking at Dolph Ziggler’s current run, one has to say that there is little chance of him winning the title from Ambrose.

It has been far too long since Ziggler won a match that mattered. The past few weeks especially have been worse, as he has only lost matches, indicating WWE’s displeasure in what Ziggler had to say about the management and Randy Orton.

As far as the title is concerned, it looks highly unlikely that it will leave Ambrose for now. Though the title has lost its value in the hands of Ambrose, Ziggler will not be the one to take that away from him for now.

Predicted Winner: Dean Ambrose

Handicap Elimination Match

One of the hottest matches of the card which is sure to deliver. With Punk and Heyman in the bout, one can expect a great story being told inside the ring. Heyman can be expected to be at his very best, delivering memorable expressions and reactions to the happenings inside the ring.

Speaking of the winner of this match, there is zero possibility that Axel & Heyman will get over Punk. After his loss against Lesnar, Punk is in need of a PPV victory and this Sunday is the right place for that.

As far as Punk getting his hands on Heyman is concerned, there are possibilities that we might witness that, but my feeling is that WWE will want to prolong this feud and bring in a new Paul Heyman guy to replace the lacklustre Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel.

Predicted Winner: CM Punk, introduction of a new Paul Heyman guy.

World Heavyweight Championship Match

Alberto Del Rio has been a very boring champion of late, and despite his great in ring skills and ability to come up with top class matches, he hasn’t managed to make an impression as a champion.

This gives Rob Van Dam a great opportunity to get hold of the title and allow this feud to grow, giving Del Rio a chance to rebuild his heel character.

Predicted Winner: Rob Van Dam

WWE Championship Match

Irrespective of what the rumours around are, there is only one way this match is ending this Sunday and that is Randy Orton walking out as the WWE Champion.

No matter how hard Daniel Bryan’s trying or how much the fans want him to win, this corporation feud must go on and the best way for that to happen is by keeping the title away from Bryan.

Expect Bryan and Orton to put on a great match, with Bryan stealing the show, but somehow Triple H & Co. will manage to keep the title in Orton’s hands.
