Raquel Gonzalez was seen talking herself up backstage before her match against Franky Monet on WWE NXT 2.0. Toxic Attraction interrupted her before Mandy Rose warned the NXT Women's Champion that she would gladly take the title.

Gigi Dolin kicked off the match for her team, but Io Shirai took her down with ease. Jacy Jayne came into the ring before Zoey Stark tagged herself in and took her down with a springboard plancha.

Dolin tried to mount a comeback, but Shirai caught her in a crossface. Jacy tried to help her partner out, but Shirai locked her in the same move on top of Dolin.

The Genius of the Sky worked well with Stark to keep Toxic Attraction out of the game for most of the contest. Jayne took down Stark and looked to gain the upper hand. However, Zoey hit her finisher before tagging Shirai in.

The Joshi Judas hit a moonsault on Jayne and pinned her to pick up the win. The action was fast-paced and gave the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions a good defense.

Zoey Stark and Io Shirai have worked well over the past couple of months. NXT needs to give the champions some stronger competition and put them on the back foot or create differences amongst them.
