After a handful of matches, Frankey Monet got a championship match on WWE NXT 2.0 this week. She took on Raquel Gonzalez for the NXT Women’s Championship.

Monet used her speed to wear out the champion early. Jessi Kamea and Robert Stone mocked Gonzalez outside the ring and helped Monet keep the pressure on.

Money kept stomping on the NXT Women’s Champion and dominated her for some time. Gonzalez soon found her second win and mounted a comeback.

She took her opponent down with her strength but failed to hit the Chingona Bomb. Monet took advantage and worked on Gonzalez’s injuries. Gonzalez finally found the strength to hit the Chingona Bomb for the win.

Afterward, Toxic Attraction attacked Robert Stone Brand then laid out Gonzalez. Mandy Rose held the NXT Women’s title high above her head as the show came to a close.

NXT did well to build the final match of the night. Monet looked strong throughout, and the loss will not dent her momentum. Meanwhile, Mandy Rose looks ready to challenge the powerhouse champion next.

Rose hasn’t worked well in the ring for some time, but a couple of matches against Raquel Gonzalez could set her up for a title run. She could be the right woman to dethrone the current NXT Women’s Champion.
