The WWE Universe was shocked by the news that CM Punk was back on a WWE affiliated product on Tuesday night as part of WWE Backstage. Now, there is an air of hope surrounding the company since many fans are crossing their fingers and believing that this is the first step towards his in-ring return.

It's just a day removed from Punk's shock debut on FOX's newest show and already the WWE Universe were firmly behind the former World Champion at NXT since there were a lot of t-shirts in the crowd that were linked to Punk which means that there were a number of supporters hoping that he would debut on NXT this week as well.
