We got an action-packed NXT Halloween Havoc with two title changes and a big debut!

We got some great matches tonight on Night 1 of NXT Halloween Havoc, as well as the debut of Lexis King. Chase U picked up a big tag title win, while Lyra Valkyria beat Becky Lynch for the NXT Women's Title.

Night 1 of NXT Halloween Havoc kicked off with Scarlett and Shotzi, and we headed for the night's first match shortly after.

WWE NXT Halloween Havoc Results (Oct 24, 2023): Roxanne Perez vs. Kiana James

The entrance ramp and ringside area were littered with toys and playground rides for the Devil's Playground match. Perez started strong and sent James outside before she caught her off a dive and hit a big suplex.

James hit Roxanne with a laptop from her bag before using a chain to lock in crossface. Roxanne broke out and hit James with the broken piece of a fence before sending her into a plastic children's slide.

Kiana powerbombed Perez into a trash can before countering the Pop Rox at ringside. Perez returned with a moonsault to the outside before hitting James with her bag. Perez hit the Pop Rox on the bag before picking up the win.

Result: Roxanne Perez def. Kiana James

Grade: B


Carmelo Hayes was in an interview and said that he wanted to dedicate his match against Ilja Dragunov to Trick Williams.

Scarlett was doing some fortune-teller reading for Meta Four, and while they argued, Akira Tozawa snuck in and stole the Heritage Cup.


Lexis King vs. Dante Chen at NXT Halloween Havoc

Brian Pillman Jr., now calling himself Lexis King, made his official debut tonight. Dante got a big dropkick early on, but King returned with a kick to the face before getting some hits in the corner.

King followed up with a clothesline to the back of the head before getting a headlock in. Chen was setting up for a big move, but King hit a superkick followed by the draping twister DDT from the ropes before picking up the easy win.

Result: Lexis King def. Dante Chen

Kelani Jordan vs. Arianna Grace at NXT Halloween Havoc

The Women's Breakout Tournament semi-final match was next, and Jordan was in control early on. Grace took some big hits, and Jordan got a few early near falls before taking Arianna down with a spinning cartwheel kick.

Grace sent Jordan into the ropes and got a near fall off a suplex before Jordan got a modified moonsault in the corner and picked up the win.

Result: Kelani Jordan def. Arianna Grace

Grade: C-


We got a short video of Von Wagner in recovery, and he was worried about Mr. Stone facing Bron Breaker on Night 2 of NXT Halloween Havoc.

Scarlett and Shotzi were back out, and so were Diamond Mine. The Creeds wanted their match against the Lotharios to have a special gimmick, and they had Ivy Nile spin the wheel before it landed on Tables, Ladders & Scares.


Tony D'Angelo & Stacks (c) vs. Chase University - NXT Tag Team Championship match at Halloween Havoc

Stacks and Andre kicked off the match, and the champs were in control as they sent both opponents outside and hit some big dives. Chase was in trouble in the ring before he made the tag to Duke, who hit some big suplexes and got the Chase U strikes on both champs.

Duke got a near fall off a sidewalk slam on Stacks before trying for the double-team finisher, but it was countered. Tony got some big suplexes before Stacks got a near fall off a dive.

Stacks was going for the double-team again, but Duke dragged him off the apron before Andre got some big kicks.

Duke blocked a move on the ropes from being hit by Andre before getting Tony with a big suplex. Chase got a neckbreaker before Jacy Jayne handed him a crowbar, but he refused. Jayne got on the apron and got taken out by Tony on accident before Chase got the pin off the distraction and picked up the win!

Result: Chase University def. Tony D'Angelo & Stacks to become the new NXT Tag Champs

Grade: B+


Nathan Frazer got a short talk show segment where he challenged Dominik Mysterio to a title match next week.


Gigi Dolin vs. Blair Davenport at NXT Halloween Havoc

Next up was the lights-out match, and Davenport sent Dolin into the steel steps early on but missed the stomp. Dolin got a Meteora to the outside and through a steel chair before we headed for a break.

Dolin was in control as the match went back to the ring. Davenport got a near fall off a big chair shot. Blair got a table out but took a trashcan to the face before Gigi hit a sidewalk and was slammed into it.

Blair cleared the announce desk before sending Dolin through another table next to it with a falcon arrow from on top of the desk. Davenport dragged Gigi back to the ring before getting the pin.

Result: Blair Davenport def. Gigi Dolin

Grade: B


Ilja Dragunov was backstage and said he would do whatever it may take to defend his NXT Title from Carmelo Hayes.

Shotzi and Scarlett showed up in the locker room and tried to tell Carmelo they knew he attacked Trick last week. Melo ignored them and walked off, saying that he didn't believe them.

Tiffany Stratton got into a fight backstage with Fallon Henley, who was dressed as an exaggerated version of the former NXT Women's Champ.


Lola Vice vs. Karmen Petrovic at NXT Halloween Havoc

Vice got a big kick early and sent Petrovic outside before laying down some strikes once she got back in the ring. Petrovic returned with a big clothesline before sending Vice outside for a big dive.

Vice got a roundhouse kick back in the ring and picked up the win.

Result: Lola Vice def. Karmen Petrovic

Grade: C


Chelsea Green and Piper Niven were backstage when Chase U rolled up, and Jacy and Thea said they would see Shawn Michaels for a possible women's tag title match.

Backstage, Meta Four realized that Akira Tozawa was posting pictures with the Heritage Cup from a haunted house.

Bron Breakker approached Carmelo and told him he was smart for attacking Trick last week. Melo denied it, but Bron said that if he brought the same energy next week, he would win the match against Ilja and take back his title. Melo looked perturbed but stayed quiet.

We were headed for the main event when the newest WWE talent, Jade Cargill, showed up to watch the match.


Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lyra Valkyria - NXT Women's Championship match at Halloween Havoc

The two traded strikes and kicks in the ring before taking each other out with clotheslines. Lyra got the Northern Lights Suplex for a near fall before getting a near fall off a big dive from the top rope.

Becky dodged a kick and tried for the dis-arm-her, but it was reversed. The champ hit a modified cutter from the ropes before Lyra countered with a big brainbuster variant for a near fall.

Lynch locked the dis-arm-her in before getting a big spike DDT. Lyra kicked out of a manhandle slam before countering the second and hit her own finisher before getting the win.

Result: Lyra Valkyria def. Becky Lynch to become the new NXT Women's Champion
