#4 Roderick Strong vs Drew McIntyre

The stipulation going in was if Strong won, he’d get a future shot at Bobby Roode’s NXT Championship.

The two men really went at it from the word go, hitting each other with everything from lariats to massive suplexes. McIntyre clearly had the size advantage but Strong kept fighting back and negating it.

The two traded strikes at ringside before Drew reversed Roddy’s momentum and launched him into the steel post. Roddy replied with an enzeguiri from the apron before dropping McIntyre back first onto the apron as we headed to a commercial.

Strong was in control when we came back. He had an abdominal stretch locked in. Drew had almost powered out when Roddy unloaded on him with right hands. He followed it up with one of his trademark backbreakers. He then locked in another submission attempt but Drew powered out and took Roddy down with a clothesline.

McIntyre then headed up to the top rope looking for a double axe-handle and ended up hitting a gorgeous reverse Alabama Slam instead. McIntyre then looked to hit the Claymore kick but Strong met him with a jumping knee strike. Strong followed it up with another backbreaker for the nearfall.

Strong then had McIntyre hung up by the legs in the Tree Of Woe when Roode came in and knocked Strong off the top turnbuckle.

Match ended in no contest

He then viciously attacked the helpless McIntyre before hitting him with the Glorious DDT. He then blew a kiss to Roderick Strong as the fans chanted “you suck”.
