After months away due to injury, Dominic Dijakovic finally returns to NXT. The monstrous Dijakovic was in the middle of a heated war with fellow titan Keith Lee six months ago. Sadly, before we could get past the first match, he was forced to undergo surgery.

Now, we'll finally get to see the two men go to war once again as Keith Lee will battle Dominik Dijakovic next week.

Bronson Reed vs Shane Thorne

Ad

Thorne started the bout off by chipping away at the massive tree trunk-like legs of Reed. The big man shook them off though, and caught Thorne's leg, bringing him down and sitting atop the Mighty One.

In the corner, Reed tried to crush him with a running splash, but Thorne sidestepped and caught him with several kicks. However, bringing him out to the middle of the ring was a mistake. Thorne bounced Reed off the ropes only to be spiked with a sitout spinebuster.

Thorne managed to escape a military press by pulling at Reed's nostrils, and when he landed on his feet, he began battering his fellow countryman. A penalty kick landed flush on Reed's back as he sat in the middle of the ring. Thorne tried to pick him up by his hair but was met by two frying pan sized chops to the chest. He responded with a standing dropkick, sending Reed into the corner. A running dropkick and running cannonball senton gave Thorne a two-count.

Reed blocked the back drop driver and countered a european uppercut into a powerslam. Thorne found himself in the corner and pushed Reed back with a boot, but a huge running splash saw him crumble to the mat. A running senton splash probably could've been the end of the match, but Reed wanted to continue the punishment, sending Thorne into the corner for more running body splashes.

Throne tried to escape up the ramp but was caught by Reed and tossed back inside. As he was ascending the ropes, Thorne kicked him off, allowing him to level the monstrous Reed with a running knee strike.

Results: Shane Thorne defeated Bronson Reed via pinfall.

Velveteen Dream was pushed out on his couch by his two valets. The North American Champion listed the prices of his merch, but said him pinning Pete Dunne at TakeOver: Toronto and retaining his title? That's priceless.

As far as Roderick Strong goes, the spotlight is now on him. However, he better take advantage of the opportunity, because if he doesn't....well...Dream Over.
