WWE NXT Results (July 3rd, 2019): Prince Pretty vs The Messiah of the Backbreaker, two more stars debut

Roderick Strong vs Tyler Breeze

Strong brought Prince Pretty to the mat with a takedown early. Breeze quickly escaped his grasp, locking in a wrist lock. Strong got back on top and dragged Breeze into the middle of the ring, attempting the Stronghold.

Breeze shook him off but was caught in a hammerlock. Transitioning to the side headlock, Strong tried to wear his opponent down early. Breeze escaped again and looked for the Unprettier. Strong managed to avoid it but was met by a rolling neckbreaker. He was taken to the corner where Breeze pelted him with a series of kicks. The ref pulled him off, forcing him to exclaim, "Don't touch me!"

Strong took this opportunity to catch him with a boot, but Breeze regained composure with a dropkick. On the outside, he slammed Strong face-first into the apron. He crawled over the stairs, falling over in the process. However, it was a rouse. The Messiah of the Backbreaker dropped him spine first on the steps, then across the barricade.

Back inside, a picture perfect dropkick caught Breeze on the jaw. Strong couldn't get the pinfall, but continued to pressure Breeze's back with the Romero Special. A dragon sleeper modification was stopped with an elbow strike. Breeze then avoided an attack in the corner, giving him time to recover.

Strong rushed Breeze in the ropes and was launched to the outside. As he made his way back inside, he was struck by an enziguri, again placing him outside of the ring. Breeze dove on top of him with a leaping elbow strike.

In the corner, Strong was hit with a rolling single arm backstabber. Still, he broke the pinfall at two. Breeze found himself on the top rope, where Strong caught him with a kick across the face. He fought back as Strong climbed the ropes, but was still brought down to the mat with a superplex. Breeze kicked out.

Strong looked for the Stronghold again, but two boots to the chest sent Strong crashing to the mat. An enziguri in the corner stunned Strong, who caught Breeze leaping over the ropes. Breeze escaped another backbreaker and connected with the Supermodel Kick. Strong kicked out.

Both men made it back to their feet and engaged in a striking war. Breeze dropped Strong with another enziguri. As he ascended the ropes ,Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly rushed the ring. Breeze connected with a Supermodel Kick to Fish, allowing Strong to drop Breeze with the End of Heartache.

Results: Roderick Strong defeated Tyler Breeze via pinfall.
