In late 2018, Punishment Martinez made his debut for NXT when he took on Matt Riddle in a losing effort. An impressive showing, though, introduced those who weren't yet acquainted with the former ROH TV Champion to an incredibly powerful superstar.

Tonight, he would make his return to NXT under a new name.

Raul Mendoza vs Damien Priest

Priest launched Mendoza into the turnbuckle with a kick to the jaw, following up with stiff right hands and an elbow strike that dropped Mendoza to the mat. A few strikes barely affected Priest, who sent Mendoza back into the corner.

A kick from Mendoza seemingly stunned Priest and a springboard roundhouse kick rocked him again. Mendoza did well keeping away from the hands of Priest here, escaping through the ropes and avoiding heavy clotheslines in order to connect with several more kicks, including a tightrope walking dropkick that sent Priest outside.

Mendoza's offense only seemed to anger Priest, though, as he was caught mid-suicide dive and slammed spine first on the apron via a chokeslam. In the ring, a discus kick was followed up by a rolling cutter for the win.

Results: Damien Priest defeated Raul Mendoza via pinfall.

William Regal announced a new tournament which will begin next week. Jordan Myles (ACH), Boa, Cameron Grimes (Trevor Lee), Isaiah "Swerve" Scott (Shane Strickland), Dexter Lumis (Samuel Shaw), Bronson Reed (Jonah Rock), Angel Garza (Humberto Garza), Joaquin Wilde (DJZ) will make their debuts over the next few weeks in the NXT Breakout Tournament. The winner will get a championship match of their choosing.
