NXT was live from Full Sail University again this week and it appears that NXT has been forced to adjust after losing a number of superstars to the main roster following WrestleMania and the Superstar Shakeup.
There were a number of debuts on the show this week and some were arguably more impressive than others, whilst the issues between The Undisputed Era and the British stars on NXT finally boiled over.
NXT kicked off with The Undisputed Era backstage as the Tag Team Championships bragged about the fact that they attacked Oney Lorcan and Danny Birch following the match between Lorcan and Adam Cole for the North American Championship last week. The segment also saw Roderick Strong build up his match with Pete Dunne in NXT's main event.
Kairi Sane vs Shazza McKenzie
Kairi Sane was given the task of welcoming Australian star Shazza McKenzie to NXT this week as the duo faced off in McKenzie's first match.
The two women shook hands ahead of the match before Sane quickly took advantage after hitting her Interceptor spear and sliding forearm in the corner. She then set up for her Insane Elbow and to make quick work of her latest opponent.
Winner - Kairi Sane
After the match, Lacey Evans made her way to the ring to apologize to Sane after underestimating her ahead of their match a few weeks ago in New Orleans. The Lady of NXT held out her hand to Sane but when the Japanese star refused the gesture, she was welcomed with a stiff right hand.
Backstage Cathy Kelley spoke to Candice LeRae about the attack that her husband Johnny Gargano was subjected to at the hands of his former friend Tommaso Ciampa last week, but LeRae was unable to convey her thoughts because she was still emotional about the situation.
Street Profits vs TM61
Another face versus face match that saw the two teams shake hands ahead of the match before Montez Ford was thrown through the air and landed an impressive double dropkick on Miller and Thorne.
The match was back and forth and the crowd was seemingly split throughout before Miller and Thorne managed to pick up the win after Throne countered Ford's pinfall attempt and bridged over putting his feet on the ropes and his partner Miller then holding them in place.
There are now rumors that this could be the beginning of a heel turn for the Australian duo.
Winners - TM61
The camera's headed backstage again to Cathy Kelley who was with Kassius Ohno. The Knockout Artist stated that someone needed to make Tommaso Ciampa feel as helpless as he made Johnny Gargano when he attacked him and he was going to be the man to do it, next week.
Patrick Scott vs Kona Reeves
Patrick Scott made his official NXT debut, whilst Kona Reeves was re-debuting under his new character where he claimed to be "The Finest". Scott didn't manage to get a lot of offense in this match before the balance was turned into Reeves favor and he picked up the win off a modified Samoan Drop.
The commentary team stated that Reeves was inspired by The Rock, so this could be another shout out to the former World Champion.
Winner - Kona Reeves
We were then taken to an interview with Dakota Kai where she was attempting to explain her issues with Shayna Baszler before she was interrupted by Vanessa Borne.
She stated that Kai was afraid of Baszler and that she herself isn't scared of anyone, Kai then told Borne that she wasn't scared of her before the two women decided that they had an issue that will seemingly be settled in the ring.
Candice LeRae vs Bianca Belair
It was revealed ahead of this match that this was the first-ever meeting between these two women as it was obvious that two very different in-ring styles were about to collide.
Candice LeRae didn't want to be part of this match and it was clear that her mind was elsewhere throughout, Belair took advantage of a less than 100% opponent and showed off why she calls herself the EST of NXT.
This was another match that was over quick after Belair easily deadlifted LeRae and threw her into the top turnbuckle, before hitting the Alley Oop for the win.
Winner - Bianca Belair
Pete Dunne vs Roderick Strong
Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly made their way to ringside to watch their fellow Undisputed Era team-mate settle business with his old friend Pete Dunne.
The match was as scrappy and personal as it was expected to be with Strong bailing out a number of times as a way to get over his new heel character. The action in the match was also impressive as Strong pulled off an incredible avalanche Olympic Slam.
Dunne was obviously out for blood but when he finally got the advantage in the match and hit The Bitter End, he was attacked by Cole and O'Reilly, leading to a disqualification finish. The numbers game didn't work to Undisputed Era's advantage for very long until reinforcements showed up in the form of Oney Lorcan and Danny Birch.
The Undisputed Era was then dumped to the outside and the show finished with both teams having an emotionally fuelled standoff.
Winner via DQ - Pete Dunne
It was announced this week that War Raiders would take on Heavy Machinery, Kassius Ohno will battle Tommaso Ciampa and Raul Mendoza will welcome EC3 to NXT next week.
