Interestingly, Ryker made his way to the ring on his own, but in the end, he didn't actually need the back up of Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler since he made quick work of Carrillo rubbing his face into the mat before delivering a stunning knee to the face.
Ryker picked Carrillo out of the air with a double axehandle followed by a slingshot powerbomb to ensure that his NXT career got off to a winning start.
Winner: Jaxson Ryker
Candice Le Rae was later shown being questioned by William Regal about the Aleister Black attack, where she seemingly pointed the finger at Tomasso Ciampa, who Regal went on to confirm had been cleared of any wrongdoing. Regal then interestingly asked about Johnny Gargano's whereabouts at the time of the attack and his wife was actually unable to give him an alibi for the exact time.
